The problem
Money moves in both directions, and neither one is checked.
Your institution pays affiliate sites for the training they provide, and bills other sites for the residents you send them. Both sides of that ledger are agreed in advance on an estimate — expected rotations, expected coverage, expected headcount. What actually happened over the year lives in schedules, emails, and memory. By renewal season, nobody can say with confidence whether the estimate held. If someone at your institution owns affiliate cost recovery, this is the part of the job that runs on recollection.

ResQ does not estimate what a resident costs. It applies the rates your agreements already use.
Held where they belong
Rates sit against a sponsor and host pair, for a given academic year, at PGY level or by program — so a PGY‑1 at one site is not priced like a PGY‑5 at another.
Loaded or itemized
Use a single loaded rate, or break it into salary, benefits and malpractice, depending on how your affiliation agreement is written.
Restricted by role
Rate tables are financial configuration. They are visible only to the finance and GME roles you nominate, not to everyone with an administrator login.

Every affiliation agreement has two signatures on it. AffiliateView is built so the sponsoring institution and the host site are working from the same recorded hours, instead of two separate reconstructions of the same year.

A number that can be quietly changed after the fact is not evidence. AffiliateView records who approved a period, and keeps what they approved.
A status, not a spreadsheet
Each period moves through a state of its own — draft, attested by the Program Director, ready for invoice, submitted, then paid, withheld or trued up. Everyone can see where a period actually stands.
Attested by name
Program Director sign‑off records who approved the period and when. It is a named approval against a specific set of figures, not an email saying it looked fine.
Sealed once final
A finalized package is kept as it was. A correction does not overwrite it — it creates a new version linked to the one before, so any figure can be traced back to the record it came from.
What AffiliateView is, and what it is not
AffiliateView is corroborating evidence and an exception-flagging tool. It shows what ResQ recorded at each host site, and puts your own rates against it. It is not a payroll system, a billing system, or a system of record for payment. Do residents have to do anything differently?
No. AffiliateView uses hours ResQ already records automatically through WorkZones™. There is nothing extra for residents to log, and no new app.Does this replace our RMS or our finance system?
No. It sits alongside them. Recorded hours continue to sync to MedHub, Medtrics and New Innovations, and AffiliateView produces a view you can hand to finance rather than a replacement for their systems.What if a site is not set up as a WorkZone™ yet?
It needs to be, for hours there to be recorded. Defining additional sites is part of onboarding, and we will work through your affiliate list with you.Can we use it for a single program rather than the whole institution?
