In addition to being the President and Co-Founder of ResQ Medical, Dr. Porter is also currently an Attending Orthopaedic Surgeon at Sutter Davis Hospital.
It was during his time as a resident that he came up with the idea of ResQ. (You can read more about that here.) When asked about why he’s so passionate about ResQ, this is what Scott had to say:
“For me it’s all about developing technology to improve the quality of time spent between the patient and the physician. If we want to continue the historical trend of attracting the best and the brightest to become physicians, we must restore the focus of patient care to one with an emphasis on “More Doctoring and Less Documenting.” I strongly believe that this will translate to improved job satisfaction and improved patient care outcomes.
